We are excited to announce that we have gotten a head start developing LUXY’s smart contracts behind the scenes.
We are going a step further than the initial plan. Using Turing-complete smart contracts will open up a lot of exciting new opportunities for LUXY users while still benefiting from the solid and Bitcoin-backed Syscoin Blockchain!
This further strengthens our goal to deliver you the best leading-edge and future-proof NFT Marketplace. It also enables us to ensure LUXY provides uncompromising service that is trustless and interoperable to the high degree we envision. For LUXY, these aspects largely depend on using smart contracts.
Syscoin’s NEVM (Network-Enhanced Virtual Machine) tech will play a big role for LUXY.
All the work being performed is by design 100% compatible with Syscoin NEVM and will be ready for NEVM as soon as it’s available. We remain in close communication with the Syscoin Core developers working on NEVM.
We have chosen to get a head-start on LUXY development rather than wait for NEVM. Our Solidity-based smart contracts will be compatible with almost any EVM-supporting blockchain. This means we have the option and flexibility, if needed, to test LUXY anywhere that supports Solidity, and deploy the same smart contracts on Syscoin once NEVM is ready.
We will deliver the LUXY Alpha version as soon as possible. LUXY Alpha will enable artists to start minting and testing the marketplace while the code is being audited and thoroughly tested internally.
The shift towards using smart contracts in our phase 1 delivery means the estimated development cycle has lengthened by ~6 weeks. We aim to release LUXY Alpha end of July/early August!
We are very excited about this change and grateful to be among the first projects that will use Syscoin NEVM which will be an industry-wide game changer.
